"The defense is always going to be a step faster at first, so I think when (the offensive line) gets going , we are going to have a tough time," Berry said. "I think by the time the season starts we are going to be ready."
No official results were available, but Brown did stand out offensively.
"I heard the (offensive) coaches telling him in the meeting this morning to just take care of the ball, and he did a nice job," Stewart said. "(Brown) continued to excel today. I was pleased the way Wes Lyons caught the ball and very pleased the way that Carmen Connolly caught the ball."
Lyons is a 6-foot-8 senior out of Pittsburgh who has 22 catches in his career for 294 yards.
Connolly is a 5-foot-11 senior who has been used mostly on special teams during his WVU career, including being the holder the last four games of the season.
Stewart was especially happy with the recruits on hand.
"It was a very special day for us," he said. "Recruiting is going very well for us and the Will Clarke addition yesterday, that was a big lick for us."
Clarke, a 6-6, 260-pound defensive end out of Allderdice High in Pittsburgh, originally had committed to Pitt.
